Registered Psychologist and Clinical Registrar

Dr Caitlin Cohen is a registered psychologist with a particular interest in supporting adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, health-related concerns, life transitions, and questions of identity and meaning. She is gender and neuro-affirming in her approach.

Caitlin offers a warm, reflective, and collaborative space where clients can explore both their immediate concerns and the broader experiences, relationships, and patterns shaping their lives. She sees the therapeutic relationship as central to psychological change and is particularly interested in helping people develop a deeper and more compassionate understanding of themselves.

Her work is guided by an existential and meaning-focused perspective. She tailors therapy to each client’s needs, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and relational ways of working, while also being informed by psychodynamic perspectives and Internal Family Systems. Her approach supports clients to respond to distress, make sense of difficult experiences, reconnect with their values, and move towards a more authentic and meaningful life.

Caitlin holds a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical and Forensic Psychology and has experience across hospital, oncology, community, and forensic mental health settings. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in nature, reading, writing, and exploring her creativity through art and writing. Where it feels meaningful and comfortable for the client, she also welcomes opportunities to incorporate creative and expressive practices into therapy.
